Just Call Me the Procrastinate Princess

I came across the photo below and it made me smile. The weekend I made these tie backs for my bedroom curtains I was really supposed to be making cards for upcoming birthdays!! But in my defense they are simple strips of fabric that took me maybe an hour tops to sew. I attached velcro on the ends because I didn't want to jack with tying them every day, and I added a little fringe to keep them from looking overly simple!

I distract myself with new projects all the time. These curtains have been hanging in my bedroom for at least 5 years now and I have yet to hem the bottom of them properly...but I have tiebacks now by golly!

Umhemmed...my secret shame!

This window is one of Lego's favorite places to sit and watch the world outside, so I have to take a lint brush to these curtains fairly often...
Lego was busy playing in a box while I was taking pictures. LOVE him!!!
I also added the valance at the top a while back to cover the arched portion of the window and block the moonlight (and streetlamp) from shining in at night. These are pretty good blackout curtains for sleeping in and afternoon naps...not that I can ever get one of those! lol

I tend to get on a roll sometimes leaving other "duties" in the dust. As a matter of fact, i SHOULD be updating my events schedule for my February Newsletter right now!
Happy Friday! Have an awesome weekend and be sure to check my Facebook page later for today's Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge!!!

Happy New Year!

As it says in the photo, I have been BAD!! A couple of months back I set up a Facebook page and I have done pretty good at keeping it updated, but the month of December did me in and I get a big fat F on blogging!
There were some crafty creations that I shared over on Facebook, here's a few:

But a GREAT DEAL of my time in the month of December was spent searching online for a store that had these dolls in stock. Clawdeen Wolf was much harder to find than

her friend Cleo de Nile!

I also made plenty of chocolaty things to give to friends and neighbors, it is our family tradition to make fudge and toffee...and the chickens have trained well for when they'll be doing it on their own someday!

I sure hope you had a wonderful holiday season, and I wish you the BEST for 2012!!!
Stampy Hugs,
Sally

I'm Stylin' ;)

I had a little surprise in my email inbox yesterday...My friend Norma gave me kudos in the form of a blog award! Thank you so much Norma, I'm honored to be one of your recipients! I'm surprised she picked me when I've been such a bad blogger lately. I didn't even post ONE thing last month...can I use my birthday as an excuse? lol

As a "Stylish Blogger" I am supposed to share 8 things about myself and pay it forward to 8 other bloggers.
  1.  I have been trying to eat better, but the weight loss that should come with it is not happening as fast as I'd like it to.
  2. I spent almost the entire day outside Sunday...did a little yardwork, but mostly just enjoyed being outside sitting on my patio watching the wind blow through the tree branches.
  3. I am so far behind on laundry I'm wearing my last pair of clean undies today.
  4. One of my long time dreams is to go skydiving, I'd really love to learn to fly a plane, but I think skydiving is a more obtainable goal!
  5. I ran the dishwasher on Saturday and still haven't unloaded it...that's what kids are for. lol
  6. My favorite "holiday" is Halloween!
  7. The last movie I saw on the big screen was Tangled.
  8. I love life and tend to look at the bright side of every situation.
Here are 8 blogs for you to check out that I really enjoy:
  1. Shelli - So Shelli
  2. Kalyn - Kalyn's Kitchen
  3. Ree - The Pioneer Woman Cooks
  4. Amanda - Diary of a Wanna-be Green Girl

Something Purty...

Before I went off to convention and I was posting here about going. I did a Google search looking for convention photos from prior years. I know they are out there but I found myself distracted when I found this:

Isn't it adorable!? Well this stamper couldn't resist and armed with my PayPal account I just had to ask Elisha from Silver Sentiments to make me one. Once I talked to her via email, I realized she can put just about anything you want on one of these sweet little silver discs. Yeah, she can!!! So as much as I love the one that simply says "stamp" I decided to go for something special...I love it Elisha!!!

Can you read it? it says IMAGINE & INSPIRE, and the charm make a soft little jingle sound!

I'm Packed!

Well I'm all packed and ready to go! Bright and early tomorrow at 6:00 AM I'm headed to Utah with my upline and my downline! I'm sure the ride will be fun since I'll have such great company, but the destination is what it's all about! I am so excited I can barely contain myself!!!
We're going to the 20th annual Stampin' Up! convention! WOOHOO!!!! We'll start the trip with a bag full of goodies and be doing make and takes, attending classes and getting to meet other demos from all over. It's going to be so awesome!!! I'll have my laptop, so I'll be checking in here and there to share! "Talk" to you soon!!!

$$$Dolla Stamps$$$

You would think as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I would be able to resist buying stamps when I find myself at a craft store...but Noooooo!!! If you are an addict, you are an ADDICT!!! hee hee
These little $1.00 cuties from Michael's just begged me to bring them home, and how could I say no!?
I also just got the new designer series Halloween paper, so I'll be sure to play with that too! :)

Tagged

Well, lookie here...I've been tagged! Miss Tracy tagged me and apparently that means I must share 7 things about myself and do my own tagging! ;)
Hmmm, where to begin.

1. I started with this silly questionaire I found...puts me 1 year before I was a born...not too shabby!

You Belong in 1968

You are a free spirit with a huge heart. Love, peace, and happiness rule.

2. I am a BIG TIME animal lover. ALL animals, even rats, and yes I care about our stupid dog CJ too! *smile*

3. Figuring out what to do with my life has become a joke. I am so undecided it's craZy!!! I'm kinda stuck in the job I have now and wish I could go back to just being home with my girls (especially now that Syd will be starting Kindergarten - hee hee). I do have several ideas for bettering our family situation, but have yet to persue any of them. *sigh*

4. LOVE to cook, but HATE to clean up!

5. If I had a million dollars I would start a campaign to boycott production of automobiles that run on GAS! Think GREEN, cars fueled by hydrogen should be our future!!!

6. I once weighed 212 pounds! Thankfully I woke up and did something about it...still would love to shed 15-20 more, but I'm in a size 10 now and feel so much better about myself.

7. Weird but true: When I was a little girl I had a fantasy that I was the only REAL human being, and everyone else was a robot! ha ha

TAGGED:
I'm going to "cheat" and only pick three. In my opinion 7 is just too many...besides most of my bloging buddies have already been tagged!!!
