Spending the Day in Houston
Let me begin this entry with an apology. Apparently an iPad isn't ideal for writing a blog post. I hope tomorrow it runs a bit more smoothly.
After picking up our shiny new bags, we kicked off the day with a general session. We filled up the auditorium!
The best part was getting an exclusive Photopolymer set just for Leadership attendees. It's called Star Stamper, and it sure is cute. WOOHOO!! It's AWESOME to be appreciated! :)
After a nice boxed lunch we had some free time to spend in the Gathering Place. First I took some pictures of the display boards.
Then I stopped at a booth where if we shared a business tip we could play a game to earn tickets. The tickets are then tossed in a basket for a chance to win a stamp set. I wrote a tip which allowed me to shoot hoops with a mini basketball. I made 4 baskets from my 5 shots and earned 5 tickets. I wrote one more tip to spin a wheel. Most of the spots to land on were for chocolate, but I landed on 8 tickets!! I'll find out on Saturday if one of my tickets gets pulled.
The last thing I did was the Paper Pumpkin Challenge. I created a card using PP stamps and DSP from the Occasions Catalog. The cards are going to be judged and 20 winners will be chosen on Saturday!
At 1:30 the Share Fair started. This is where fellow demonstrators presented helpful ideas to empower us. There were 18 classes available, but you could only choose 6. I sat in on 5 and then completed a few birthday banners for the Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital...this years service project.
Oops, LOL!
Tomorrow will be another full day of fabulous classes, announcements, and more fun in the Gathering Place. I need to get to bed, so I'll see you then!
